On September 4, SteelOrbis reported that scrap offers on containerized shredded scrap to Pakistan from the EU and UK were trending slightly up at $340-350/mt CFR as a result of the latest increases in the global trend, especially the higher pricing of Turkish scrap import deals.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that as domestic scrap prices have remained firm as in Japan and China, or gained strength as in ex-US scrap deal prices to Turkey, ex-UK and ex-EU scrap import offer prices to Pakistan have also increased. Containerized shredded scrap offers are now reportedly at $345-355/mt CFR, up $5/mt.
