Pakistan continues interest in scrap imports

On August 22, SteelOrbis reported ex-US containerized shredded scrap offered to Pakistan at $340-355/mt CFR.

Through the week ended August 25, sources report Pakistan import deals from various source countries for containerized shredded scrap at $340-346/mt CFR Pakistan. A source noted that it is “probably accurate to assume that some material was ex-US.” Ex-US offer prices for containerized shredded scrap for the moment remain stable at $340-355/mt CFR Pakistan.
