One Turkish mill raises domestic scrap purchase price, dollar-based prices fall

One Turkish mill has raised its domestic scrap purchase prices by TRY 40/mt ($2-3/mt), while other producers’ dollar-based prices have decreased by $3-4/mt after their decisions to keep their lira-based quotations stable, due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. Although the benchmark DKP prices are still in the range of TRY 1,705-2,095/mt, they have declined to $246-302/mt.
