More Turkish mills increase domestic scrap purchase prices

Tuesday, 02 June 2020 15:54:17 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

After the price revisions announced by a few Turkish mills yesterday, more local producers have increased their domestic scrap purchase prices in Turkey today, June 2, raising them by TRY 10-230/mt as compared to the levels recorded yesterday, resulting in a $3-35/mt rise in their dollar-based quotations.

SteelOrbis has observed that, with the Turkish lira gaining strength against the US dollar, the dollar-based quotations of other Turkish steelmakers - those that have kept their domestic scrap purchase prices stable - have edged up by $1-2/mt.
