Today, December 1, some Turkish mills have increased their domestic scrap purchase prices sharply by TRY 60-250/mt or $4-29/mt. Other mills, which had mostly raised their prices yesterday, have kept their quotations stable today, though their prices on US dollar basis have declined by $3-4/mt on the same day. Accordingly, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap is now at TRY 2,410-2,830/mt or $307-360/mt, up from the previous levels of TRY 2,250-2,770/mt or $289-356/mt.
