Local Turkish scrap market moves up further

Tuesday, 24 November 2020 12:02:58 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Following yesterday’s price increases, some more Turkish mills have followed suit today, November 24, raising their domestic scrap purchase prices by TRY 45-150/mt or $2-15/mt. Amid the changes in the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate the stable prices of other producers in the local currency have resulted in a $3-4/mt decrease in the dollar-based prices of these producers. The general range of DKP grade scrap quotations has moved up from the range of TRY 2,240-2,570/mt to TRY 2,250-2,595/mt since yesterday, while on dollar basis the general range has declined from $288-331/mt to $286-330/mt.
