Local Turkish scrap market moves up by $4-46/mt

As of today, the local Turkish scrap market has increased by $4-46/mt due to the rapid changes recorded in the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate. Some Turkish mills have increased their prices by TRY 50-250/mt or $17-46/mt as compared to Friday, February 26, while other have kept their prices stable, with a $4-11/mt rise in their prices on dollar basis.

Accordingly, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has increased from TRY 2,870-3,375 to TRY 3,040-3,620/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have moved down from the range of $386-454/mt to $419-499/mt.
