Local scrap quotations in Indian market - week 8

Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 500/mt over the past week to INR 26,000/mt ($403/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved up by INR1,000/mt over the same period to INR 28,800/mt ($446/mt) ex-yard.

Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have increased by $10/mt week on week to $370/mt CFR.
