Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 200/mt over the past week to INR 20,700/mt ($320/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have remained stable over the same period at INR 22,000/mt ($340/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have moved up by $5/mt week on week to $315/mt CFR.
