Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have decreased by INR 1,000/mt over the past week to INR 27,000/mt ($381/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have declined by INR 1,200/mt over the same period to INR 29,800/mt ($409/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have moved sideways week on week at $360/mt CFR.
