Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 1,400/mt over the past week to INR 26,200/mt ($381/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved up by INR 1,100/mt over the same period to INR 27,900/mt ($406/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have remained stable week on week at $343/mt CFR.
