Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have decreased by INR 500/mt over the past week to INR 25,200/mt ($395/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved down by INR 1,100/mt over the same period to INR 26,800/mt ($420/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have remained stable week on week at $340/mt CFR.
