Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have moved down by INR 500/mt over the past week to INR 25,000/mt ($361/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have decreased by INR 800/mt over the same period to INR 26,500/mt ($382/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have declined by $8/mt week on week to $315/mt CFR.
