Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have moved up by INR 900/mt over the past week to INR 27,300/mt ($400/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have increased by INR 1,500/mt over the same period to INR 31,000/mt ($454/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have moved sideways week on week at $365/mt CFR.
