Local Italian scrap prices move up slightly

Domestic scrap prices have increased slightly in the Italian market in the past two weeks. According to market sources, demand is good while supply is not high. Some local mills have agreed to increases of €5-10/mt as their stocks are low. One local supplier predicted that domestic scrap prices may record further increases before the end of April, while they may rise more significantly in May, mainly due to strong demand, but also due to predictions of a positive trend internationally.
