Local Italian scrap market moves on stable trend

Domestic scrap prices in Italy have been trending sideways in the past week after increasing in the first two weeks of February due to good local demand and to the trend of international prices, which in turn was due to the increase in import scrap purchases by Turkish mills. Currently, Italian market sources expect domestic scrap prices to remain stable until the end of February, with supply and demand in balance, while waiting for greater clarity in the international prices, especially since Turkish mills have reduced their scrap purchases in the past week.
