In December last year, local French steel scrap prices remained stable compared to November, according to the latest data issued by the French Steel Federation (FFA). Local prices had decreased by €16/mt ($19/mt) in November compared to October.
On year-on-year basis, in December local scrap prices decreased by a significant €31/mt on average, as shown in the following table:
