According to sources, domestic scrap prices for some qualities in Italy have decreased slightly in the past week after that several steelmakers had suspended scrap deliveries and asked for price reductions. The local Italian scrap market is still quiet and steelmakers have good scrap supplies. However, local sources do not see factors that may lead to significant price decreases in November. Much will depend on finished product sales and on the developments of trade relationships between Turkey and the USA, which are supposed to have an impact on international scrap prices.
