Latest situation in local Italian scrap market

Due to good scrap demand, especially from specialty steel producers, market players are expecting domestic scrap prices in Italy to rise further in December, after they had increased in the first days of November and remained generally stable during the remainder of the month. Nonetheless, it is not clear by what margin prices will increase. According to one local trader, high-quality scrap prices could increase by €5-10/mt, but new prices should become clear only by the middle of next week.
