Japan’s Tokyo Steel increases scrap purchase prices again

Compared to December 13 prices reported by SteelOrbis, Japan’s Tokyo Steel has reportedly increased its domestic scrap purchase prices for the Tahara and Okayama sites. The average price has increased $7/mt to JPY 36,500/mt ($328/mt) delivered to customer.

*Assuming a stable Utsunomiya price from December 13 report as SteelOrbis has not received reports of its increase yet.
