Japan’s Kansai Tetsugen average scrap price ticks up in July

In June, the average export tender price achieved at the Kansai Tetsugen scrap auction was reported by SteelOrbis at JPY 28,000/mt ($258/mt) FAS Japan. Sources inform SteelOrbis that prices increased during the July tender to around JPY 28,800/mt ($265/mt) FAS Japan, up $7/mt month-on-month. The Kansai scrap export tender had been dormant for four months in 2019 from February to May.
