Japanese H2 scrap prices trend up in March Kanto Tetsugen auction

On February 13, SteelOrbis reported that the monthly Kanto Tetsugen scrap auction encountered an average for the top winning bids at approximately JPY 32,000/mt ($288/mt) FAS.

Sources report that Japanese H2 scrap in the latest monthly Kanto Tetsugen Tender in March trended up to approximately JPY 34,000/mt ($306/mt), up $18/mt. In a year-on-year analysis, the Kanto Tetsugen H2 scrap average of the top bids in March 2019 is lower by JPY 3,520/mt or $46/mt this month compared to the average of the top bids of JPY 37,520/mt ($352/mt) FAS in March 2018.
