Japanese H2 Kansai scrap auction ticks down marginally, prices up in dollar terms

On December 19, SteelOrbis reported December Kansai Tetsugen scrap auction monthly average bid results for H2 at approximately JPY 28,900/mt ($258/mt) FAS Japan.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that average prices in the recent January Kansai Tetsugen scrap auction marginally ticked down by JPY 200/mt to approximately JPY 28,700/mt ($261/mt) FAS Japan. Due to currency improvements of the JPY against the dollar, the monthly average price in the auction increased $3/mt.
