Japanese H2 domestic scrap prices trend stable domestically

On August 14, SteelOrbis reported Japanese H2 domestic scrap prices at 25,800-26,000/mt ($244-246/mt) and shindachi scrap at JPY 28,600-29,000/mt ($270-274/mt), all prices delivered to customer.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that H2 scrap prices are presently stable at JPY 25,800-26,000/mt ($243-245/mt) and shindachi scrap at JPY 28,600-29,000/mt ($269-273/mt), all prices delivered to customer. Due to currency fluctuations, H2 grade decreased $1/mt from both the bottom and top of the previous range while shindachi scrap prices also decreased $1/mt from both the bottom and top of the respective previous range.
