Japanese H2 domestic scrap prices tick down further

On July 5, SteelOrbis reported domestic H2 scrap prices in Japan at mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya at JPY 26,200-26,600/mt ($241-245/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 29,200-29,600/mt ($269-273/mt) for shindachi scrap, all prices delivered to customer.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that H2 scrap prices slipped further and are now at JPY 25,500-25,800/mt ($235-238/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 28,300-28,800/mt ($261-266/mt) for shindachi scrap, all prices delivered to customer. H2 scrap decreased $6/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $7/mt from the top of the same range while shindachi scrap also decreased $8/mt the bottom of the previous range and $7/mt from the top of the respective range.
