Japanese H2 domestic scrap prices slip

On December 11, SteelOrbis reported that domestic H2 scrap prices in Japan at mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya decreased to JPY 30,300-30,600/mt ($267-270/mt) while shindachi scrap also decreased to JPY 35,400-35,700/mt ($312-315/mt), all prices delivered to customer.

A regional source informs SteelOrbis that scrap prices have ticked down again in the Japanese scrap market at mini-mills in the regions mentioned above. H2 scrap is now reportedly at JPY 30,100-30,400/mt ($265-268/mt) while shindachi scrap also ticked down to 35,300-35,600/mt ($311-313/mt), all prices delivered to customer. H2 scrap prices decreased $2/mt while shindachi scrap prices decreased $1/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $2/mt from the top of the same range.
