On April 11, SteelOrbis reported domestic Japanese H2 scrap prices for mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya regions at 33,400-33,800/mt ($313-316/mt) delivered to customer. Shindachi scrap was reportedly at 37,300-37,500/mt ($349-351/mt) delivered to customer.

A source has informed SteelOrbis that Japanese H2 domestic scrap prices have experienced further corrections as the week ends on April 13 due to downward pressure from mill buyers and decreased active export bids from South Korean mills.

In the same regions mentioned above, H2 scrap prices have reportedly declined to JPY 32,600-33,100/mt ($303-308/mt) delivered to customer. Prices declined $10/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $8/mt from the top of the same range.

Shindachi scrap is now reportedly at 36,500-37,000/mt ($340-344/mt) delivered to customer. Prices declined $9/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $7/mt from the top of the same range.
