Japanese H2 domestic scrap firms up

On March 1, SteelOrbis reported domestic H2 scrap prices in Japan at mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya at JPY 32,600-32,800/mt ($291-293/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 37,500-37,800/mt ($335-338/mt) for shindachi, all prices delivered to customer.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that scrap prices have firmed up and are presently at JPY 32,700-32,900/mt ($293-294/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 37,700-38,000/mt ($337-340/mt) for shindachi, all prices delivered to customer.

H2 scrap increased $3/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $1/mt from the top of the same range. Shindachi scrap increased $2/mt.
