Japanese domestic H2 scrap prices continue stable, slight gain in dollar terms

On October 23, SteelOrbis reported that domestic scrap prices in Japan continued trending stable since early in the month at mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. H2 domestic scrap prices were reported at JPY 36,100-36,400/mt ($322-324/mt) and shindachi scrap at JPY 41,200-41,500/mt ($367-370/mt), all prices delivered to customer.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that prices have continued to trend stable domestically for the week ended October 26 and are reportedly at JPY 36,100-36,400/mt ($323-326/mt) and shindachi scrap at JPY 41,200-41,500/mt ($368-371/mt), all prices delivered to customer. Due to currency fluctuations, H2 scrap increased $1-2/mt while shindachi scrap increased $1/mt.
