India’s RINL floats tender to import 150,000 mt of hard coking coal

India’s state-run steel producer Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has floated a tender for the import of 150,000 mt of hard coking coal, company sources said on Thursday, March 30.   

RINL has set the last date for submission of bids by global suppliers on April 19, 2023, the sources said.   

As per the conditions laid down by the importer, blended coal will be acceptable with a maximum blend of two grades but offers of volumes less than 75,000 mt will not be considered for bidding.   

Overseas owners of coking coal mines and coking coal suppliers offering produce of other mines along with authorization letters from mine owners will be eligible to bid for the import tender.
