India’s NMDC hikes prices of iron ore lumps, fines

Indian state run miner, NMDC Limited has hiked prices of iron ore lumps and fines with immediate effect, according to a regulatory filing by the company on Thursday.

According to the filing, price for high grade ore has been increased by INR 700/mt ($9.53/mt) and that of low grade fines by INR 1500/mt ($20/mt).

Following the latest price increase, price of high grade lump would move up to INR 7650/mt ($104/mt), ex-pithead and that of low grade fines to INR 6560/mt ($89.37/mt) ex-pithead.

The price is exclusive of royalty and mandatory payments to District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET), cess, forest permit fees and other statutory levies.
