India’s NMDC hikes price of iron ore lumps and fines for second time in Dec

Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited has increased its iron ore fines and lump prices for the second time in the current month with the new higher prices effective from December 15, company officials said on Wednesday, December 16.

NMDC Limited has increased the price of iron ore lumps by INR 700/mt ($9.51/mt) taking its effective price for current month deliveries to INR 5,200/mt ($70.65/mt) ex-pithead. The price of fines has been increased by INR 500/mt ($6.79/mt) to INR 4,610/mt ($62.63/mt) ex-pithead.

The price is exclusive of royalty and mandatory payments to the District Mineral Fund (DMF), the National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET), cess, forest permit fees and other statutory levies.

This is the fourth hike in iron ore price effected by NMDC since November 1 this year.
