India’s MOIL hikes manganese ore price effective from January 1

Indian state-run company MOIL Limited (formerly Manganese Ore India Limited) has raised prices of various grades of manganese ore with effect from January 1, 2021, according to a regulatory filing of the company.

According to the filing, the price of ferro grade manganese with Mn content of 37 percent and above has been hiked by 10 percent, while the prices of grade with Mn content less than 37 percent has been increased by 15 percent.

The price of chemical grade manganese has also been increased by 10 percent, the filing said.

MOIL accounts for about 50 percent of total domestic supplies of the ore.
