India’s domestic pellet prices tick down in central region

On January 2, SteelOrbis reported that Indian domestic pellet offers were trending stable in both domestic and dollar terms at INR 6,100-6,300/mt ($87-90/mt) ex-Raipur in the central eastern region week-on-week.

Sources now inform SteelOrbis that prices have ticked down to 6,000-6,100/mt ($86-88/mt) ex-Raipur, down $1/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $2/mt from the top of the same range. A source noted that large entities such as NMDC have decreased prices domestically.
