India’s domestic pellet offers stable, but gaining support

On January 8, SteelOrbis reported that Indian domestic pellet offers were trending at INR 5,900-6,100/mt ($84-87/mt) ex-Raipur.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that ex-Raipur prices have remained stable in the region at INR 5,900-6,100/mt ($83-86/mt) ex-Raipur. Due to currency fluctuations down $1/mt. A source added that pellet offers may gain support for higher prices as Jindal SAW has increased pellet offers. Already, pellet offers in the Durgapur area have reportedly ticked up by INR 200/mt in the past week and are now at INR 5,600-5,800/mt ($79-82/mt) ex-works.
