On January 29, SteelOrbis reported Indian export offers on basic steelmaking pig iron at $375-380/mt FOB India.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that Indian export offers on basic steelmaking pig iron have declined $15/mt and are presently at $360-365/mt FOB India. The slip in prices is attributed to the recent decline in global scrap prices as well as the softening demand for pig iron in the Indian domestic market.
