Indian domestic pig prices show mixed movements

As recently reported by SteelOrbis, Indian domestic pig iron prices have been trending up on supply restrictions.

While the average price in many regions, including Raipur, reached the INR 30,000/mt ($463/mt) ex-works level on March 15, sources inform SteelOrbis that in Durgapur, a region which was until recently also trending up despite lagging closer to a high of INR 29,300/mt ($452/mt) ex-works, pig iron prices suddenly trended down INR 900-1000/mt in the past few days to INR 28,300-28,400/mt ($435-437/mt) ex-works. In dollar terms, prices decreased $15-17/mt.
