On June 25, SteelOrbis reported that Indian domestic pellet offers were trending at INR 6,700-6,900/mt ($97-100/mt) ex-works Raipur (east-central India).
Sources inform SteelOrbis that the price is now reportedly at INR 6,800-6,900/mt ($99-101/mt) ex-works Raipur. Due to currency fluctuations, prices increased $2/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $1/mt from the top of the same range.
Prices in the Durgapur area (east India) are reportedly now at INR 6,200-6,400/mt ($90-93/mt) ex-works. Within that region, prices decreased from a level of approximately INR 7,000/mt ($101/mt) in early June to INR 6,500/mt ($94/mt) on June 25. Compared to June 25, prices have decreased $4/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $1/mt from the top of the same range. A source noted that pellet prices have decreased in tandem with lower pellet based DRI prices in the region.
