On January 9, SteelOrbis reported that ex-UK containerized shredded scrap offers to Pakistan at $385-390/mt CFR Pakistan.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that ex-UK containerized shredded scrap offers are now at $385/mt CFR Pakistan while offers from the US for containerized shredded scrap are being heard in the market at $375-380/mt CFR Pakistan. Limited trading is reported as the uncertainty in global scrap market direction has mills in Pakistan focusing on domestic scrap sources. “Offers for both ex-UK and ex-US decreased by $5/mt on the top end of their respective ranges over the past week,” stated a source.
