Import scrap prices in Turkey fall sharply with ex-Baltic deal

According to market sources close to SteelOrbis, a Turkish mill has completed an ex-Baltic deal for 30,000 mt of scrap comprised of 25,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $307/mt CFR and 5,000 bonus scrap at $317/mt CFR.

Compared to mid-February when SteelOrbis reported an ex-Baltic scrap deal concluded at $326/mt CFR for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap, scrap buying prices in the region have decreased by $19/mt.
