On September 19, SteelOrbis reported containerized shredded scrap offers to Bangladesh from the UK and EU firming up at $368-375/mt CFR. HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers also reportedly moved in tandem and were reported at $345-350/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that ex-UK and ex-EU scrap offers to Bangladesh for October deals have firmed up, although, due to lackluster domestic finish steel demand, importers have remained relatively quiet over the past week. A source noted that the success of the increased offer prices will depend on improvements in domestic demand and overall strength of global scrap movements in the first week of October.

Containerized shredded scrap offers to Bangladesh are reportedly at $370-380/mt CFR while containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap is on offer at $345-357/mt CFR. Shredded scrap prices increased by $2/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $5/mt from the top of the same range. HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices have widened the top of the range by $7/mt.
