According to market sources, Taiwanese buyers have concluded a deal for 3,000-4,000 mt of containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $297-298/mt CFR CY, while in another transaction approximately 2,000 mt of the same scrap grade has been sold to Taiwan at $296/mt CFR CY. Currently, containerized HMS I/II 80:20 offers from the US to Taiwan are reported to be in the range of $302-303/mt CFR CY.

It is observed that not many ex-US scrap offers are given to Taiwan, while sellers are unwilling to sell large tonnages and buyers are not interested in booking large volumes.
