On June 15, SteelOrbis reported ex-US containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers at $340/mt CFR with deals remaining stable at $330-335/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that offers are presently at $340-345/mt CFR.

A source added that several bulk Japanese HMS I/II (50:50) deals were reportedly purchased by Taiwan mills through the week at $345-350/mt CFR, thereby supporting US containerized scrap prices. Bulk prices traditionally run about $20/mt higher than containerized prices to Taiwan.
