On October 17, SteelOrbis reported containerized shredded scrap offers for import from various destinations to Pakistan at $328-332/mt CFR Pakistan port, down from an average of $335/mt CFR Pakistan port reported at the week ended October 13.

Sources inform SteelOrbis of an uptick in current offers that are converging at $330/mt CFR Pakistan. Ex-US offers of containerized shredded scrap are presently at $330-335/mt CFR Pakistan. A source noted that offers could see an increase of $5-10/mt still this year on healthy demand from Pakistan mills and what seems to be a tight global scrap market.
