On June 29, SteelOrbis reported ex-US containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers at $340-345/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that deals were completed over the week at $334-340/mt CFR on adequate demand of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap. Sources inform SteelOrbis that as the week-ends, scrap offer prices for HMS I/II 80:20 are reportedly wide at $340-350/mt CFR. The increase in offers by $5/mt on the upper end of the range is attributed to recent deals over the week, but the lower end offers remain, at least in the short-term, as total volumes on demand are “still weak as some buyers remain on the sidelines on uncertainty.”
