On August 18, SteelOrbis reported containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap deals at $296-298/mt CFR Taiwan with expectations of $300-303/mt CFR in the near future.

According to sources, ex-US deals on containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap have reached the $300-303/mt CFR Taiwan level. Given the strength of the Japanese H2 scrap market, an alternative to ex-US HMS I/II 80:20 scrap, US offers to Taiwan have continued to increase and are now heard at $305-315/mt CFR Taiwan.

Additionally, ex-US deals on containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap were heard to Vietnam at $307-310/mt CFR.
