According to market sources, an ex-US scrap deal to Taiwan for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap was concluded at $298-300/mt CFR CY on yesterday, August 31. The prices range was $3-5/mt lower than previous deals, since some Taiwanese mills have stopped making scrap bookings and have preferred to monitor the market.

Meanwhile, prices in the local Taiwanese scrap market are at NTD 8,200-8,400/mt ($272-279/mt) delivered.

Also, Japanese H2 grade scrap offers to Taiwan are currently at $325-330/mt CFR CY.
