Ex-US deal in Turkey moves scrap import prices up

The most recent ex-Baltic deals were heard at $272/mt CFR on HMS I/II 80:20. According to sources close to SteelOrbis, the latest ex-US deal heard today in Turkey is for a 40,000 mt cargo for June shipment. The deal was closed with HMS I/II 80:20 at $275/mt CFR, shredded scrap at $280/mt CFR, and bonus scrap at $285/mt CFR. Details on the cargo breakdown are forthcoming. Shredded scrap is estimated at 15,000-20,000 mt, bonus at 2,000-5,000 mt, and the remaining balance of HMS I/II 80:20.
