Ex-Turkey merchant bar prices fall slightly

Turkish merchant bar export prices are currently available at $790-800/mt, versus $800-820/mt FOB two weeks ago, amid the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and sluggish international demand.

Most re-rollers are offering for January-February shipments. A few enquiries have been received from European buyers for the new round of EU quotas in 2022.

Most merchant bar re-rollers are willing to give small discounts on dollar-based export prices, though they are restricted by their higher production costs.

Turkish merchant bar export prices are currently at the following levels:

Product

Price ($/mt)

Angle

790-800

IPN-UPN

800-810

Flat bar

820-830

IPE

800-810

All prices are on FOB basis and for January-February shipment.
