Ex-India’s ferrochrome offers to China increase on positive outlook

On August 30, SteelOrbis reported that ex-India ferrochrome offers to China slipped down to $1,650-1,715/mt CIF China. According to sources close to SteelOrbis, the market hit bottom in early September and started an upward swing on positive sentiment on Chinese buys that continues into late September. Ex-India ferrochrome prices to China are now reportedly at $1,763-1,807/mt CIF China. The price increased $113/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $92/mt from the top of the same range.
